Information to the Students
At a time we had three instances of the Course Pedagogy in Open and Distance Learning running. One Course for norwegian students that started in October 1996, and a second one for about 10 greek students starting in November 1996, and now a third one starting in February. All three courses were planned to end i May/June 1997.
We do not like that situation with three ongoing courses in parallell, and have therefore merged all the three courses to one course with start date February 18th. In that way we can make a much better course, and make the most of several things:
- Using the Internet and the Web
- All the teachers involved in the course, both in Norway, UK and Greece
- Use the experience from the students who already have started and by now have completed 3-4 lessons
- Make an international meeting place and learning how to use Internet and Web as learning arenas, and of course exchange views and experiences.
What consequence does this news arrangement have for you:
- New students start as nothing has happened with downloading lessons, participating in discussions, etc.
- Students from transferred from other intances of the course can relax regarding the lessons they already have been through. They are the same. But what we hope is that older students can be active in the discussion group, take initiative, ask qeuestions, etc. in the startup phase.
- The Greek students have a special arrangement with a shorter version of the Course. These can finish the course after half the lessons, or the can continue.
