Some comments at startup
To guide you through the "classroom" the very first day I want to give you some advice for what to do, and in which order.
- First I will advice you to take an overview of the front page without navigating down the hyperlinks. Navigating you can do later
- Read the welcome message from Harald Haugen, and get an idea of what we are going to do in this course, and how it relates to other things.
- Take a short look at the first lesson. The other lessons follow on the given date.
- Register youself as a member in the discussion groups:
- Click on the hyperlink "Starting Point" under the heading Classroom discussion (you'll find it on the frontpage. You only have to click the Back-button). Here you'll find the procedure for registering yourself as a member in the discussion forum
- After registration I will recommend you to read and write in a special discussion group called "Test". Here you can do what you want, without being nervous to be a fool. Here we expect people do many funny things in the name of experimentation.
- After registrating and testing it's time to tell us about yourself in the "class list". You'll find the hyperlink under the heading "Who is who". If you are not ready for a presentation right now, you can of course do it some other day.
- At this point you should be ready for the study. Read the lesson, notice any instructions attached to the lessom regarding exercises, practical work, etc. And of course during the whole course we hope you will be an active student and take part in the discussions.
Well, that's all I think for now. More will come later, published under the Message-box at the top of the web-page.
