Some comments about HyperNews
HyperNews is a free web-based discussion system downloadet from Internet. To read articles you have to submit username and password. The first time you can use a dummy user already registered.
The first thing you have to do is registrate yourself as a user of the HyperNews discussion group.

- First you have to register. When you click on the hyperlink for one of the discussion group you are asked for the username and password. You can use the user name ip97and the password mp that is already registered. OBS! The user name ip97 is only for registration purpose, afterwards you should use your own.
- When you are inside one of the discussion forums by using the username and password above, you have to click on the menber button to be a registered member. The webpage for registration is shown.
- In the webpage shown you have to submit username and a password, both chosen freely by you as long as it is uniq. You also have to submit you email address. The other fields are optional. It could happen that the fields already have some text; please delete or write over.
- At the bottom of the page set a mark in the field Join or Change, and then click on the Do It-button.
- It can be a good idea to create a new window in the web-browser (File/New Web Browser). In that way you can read my instructions in one page while you register in the other.
After registration I recommend you quit your web-browser, and start again. Then you can go to the special to test group (you'll find it on the frontpage, you only have to click the Back-button). Here you need not be afraid of fooling yourself, and here you can also check if everything is OK! Do what you want, and learn how it works.
The subsequent visits:
You can participate in all discussion groups with registered with username and password. We have created three discussion groups. Go to the first page to enter these discussions.
- General discussions about Internet Publishing
- Cafe - a forum for more informal talking.
- Classlist - Name and a short presentation including email address
- Test group. Here you can exercise in using the discussion tool.
