Norwegian title: Databaseadministrasjon.

Student work: Out of totally 12 excercises, 8 are compulsory.
Prequalifications: Either LO236D, LO323D, LO325D, LO336D or any other course in the fundamentals of database systems.
Assessment: 3-hours written exam.
Responsible person:

Objectives: Database management with MySQL. After accomplishing the course the students should be able to install and operate a multi-user database server. They should also know about relevant database management environments and security problems.

Content: Installing a MySQL database server, system catalog, distributed systems, privileges, backup, performance, transactions
